Second edition of TUNE’s intensive week was hosted by University of Tartu Viljandi Culture Academy ; students, teachers and administrative staff from partner institutions were reunited : University of Southeastern Norway (Rauland campus), Conservatorio Superior de Música de Vigo (Galicia, Spain), pôle Aliénor (Poitiers, France) and the AEC (association of European conservatoires).
Each intensive week is the opportunity for bachelor level traditional music students of partner institutions to participate in workshops, lectures, ensemble work, performances, and social activities. Students worked on traditional rhythms, songs and dances from Estonia, France, Norway, Spain whilst engaging in understanding musical languages, and pluralism of personal musical expression. An interesting artistic endeavor for the creation of a common music discourse, from aspiring professional artists coming from different geographical areas and music traditions in Europe. Students and teachers eventually performed during the Traditional Music Harvest Party (7-8 October) hosted by the Estonian Traditional Music Center in Viljandi : watch the concert

Beyond on-going work with online platform, intensive weeks are rich opportunities for interpersonal collaboration and exchange. This combination of online activities and short-term mobility will form the core of a joint undergraduate module that will be launched following the completion of the TUNE project in 2024.
The next TUNE intensive week will be hosted by Rauland campus (university of South-Eastern Norway) from 13th to 17th of February 2023.
